As Clean as Coal
Aug 2, 2026 • Pastor Philip Spellman
In Isaiah 6, Isaiah encounters the holiness and majesty of God and immediately recognizes his own uncleanness: “Woe is me.” But God does not leave him undone. The same coal that cleansed Isaiah also prepared him to answer the call: “Here am I; send me.”
This message reminds us that God’s cleansing is never empty or merely symbolic. Through repentance, baptism in Jesus’ name, and the washing of His blood, we are not only forgiven—we are equipped and commissioned for His purpose. Stop living under the lie that your past disqualifies you. If God has cleansed you, He has also called you.
